who we are
Stanford Scandinavian Society was founded in March 2025. We are a community of students from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Iceland, and anyone interested in Nordic culture!
what we do
Our flagship event is our quarterly “Sittning,” a formal dinner where we dress up, sing songs, and eat good food. Sittnings are a beloved tradition at universities in Sweden. We host traditional Nordic holiday celebrations, like Valborg and Syttende Mai, and we get together often to hang out and chat over Fika. We also host industry networking events with Nordic companies in Silicon Valley.
